Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with heavy duty aluminum foil, letting edges of foil extend over sides of pan.
Combine wafer crumbs, chopped almonds, brown sugar, and butter. Press into pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
In large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and liqueur.
Bake for 40-45 minutes until set. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Sprinkle evenly with almonds. Let cool completely. Cut into bars to serve.

If using chocolate chips, mix some butter with it to thin it.
