     Sour cream pound cake

Ingredients
2 sticks butter
3 c sugar
6 eggs
1 (8 oz) carton of sour cream
1/4 t baking soda
1 t vanilla extract
3 c flour
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F. Cream butter and sugar with mixer until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in sour cream, blending well.
In separate bowl, combine soda and flour; add to sour cream mixture. Beat at low speed until well mixed. Beat in vanilla.
Spoon batter into greased tube pan or loaf pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hour. Remove from pan and cool.
