Set the oven at 350 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
In an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the sugars and butter for 5 min or until fluffy.
In a bowl, beat the eggs and extra yolk just to mix them.

With the mixer on medium speed, add the egg mixture and vanilla. Mix until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula once or twice. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined. Remove the bowl from the mixer stand. With a rubber spatula, fold in the chocolate.
