Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two loaf pans. Cream together
shortening and sugar with electric mixer. Add the eggs and
bananas and blend until the bananas are thoroughly mashed.
Sift flour, salt, and baking soda in separate bowl, and stir in wheat
germ. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and blend just until
mixed.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pans, dividing it equally. Bake for 50
minutes.
