Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None
Servings   36

Ingredients
2 1/2 sticks putter
4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 orange rind, grated
Topping-
1 egg
1 tbs. water
1/4 c. sugar

1/2 tsp. ground mace or nutmeg

Instructions
Work butter, flour and sugar together. Beat egg well and stir in rind. Add to flour. Work well with hands to form smooth ball. Divide into 4 parts. Roll or pat each into an 8 in. circle - use bottom of pie dish.
Do NOT get edges too even. With cookie cutter or glass, cut a circle 2 inched in diameter in center of each round. Cut outside part with knife into 8 wedges.
Topping- Beat egg well with water and brush over dough. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar and nutmeg. Gently life pieces to greased cookie sheets. Bake 350 for 15 minutes.
