     Winter Beef Stew

Ingredients
3/4 italian dressing
2 lbs. chuck roast, cut into 1 in chunks
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
6 carrots, sliced
1 1/2 lbs potatoes, peeled & chunks
1 can stewed tomatoes, undrained
14 1/2 oz. beef broth
 

Instructions
Pour dressing over beef in shallow glass dish. Refrigerate 30 minutes to marinade. Cook bacon. Add onions after bacon was removed and pan is drained. Cook 10 minutes.
Add beef, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, broth and bacon to saucepan; stir. Bring to a boil and cover. Simmer on low heat 1 hour 30 minutes or until meat is done. Remove lid during last 15 minutes of cooking.
