Preheat oven to 375. Melt 1/2 chocolate in double boiler until
smooth. Cool to room temperature.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat butter,brown sugar,
sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add chocolate and egg; beat well.
Blend in flour mixture. Stir in remaining chocolate and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 8 to 9 minutes. Allow to stand 2 to 3 minutes before
removing from cookie sheets. Cool.
