     Sweet Potato/Cranberry Casserole

Ingredients
2 (17 oz.) cans of yams, drain one can
1 bag of fresh cranberries
1/2 cup oatmeal (original, not quick cooking)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1 package of small marshmellows for topping
 

Instructions
Combine yams, yam juice and cranberries and set aside. In a bowl combine oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, and cut in butter to blend well. (Do not melt butter.) Mix 1 cup of oatmeal mixture with yams and cranberries. Pour into a casserole dish. Top with remaining oatmeal mixture and bake in a 350 oven for 40 minutes. Remove, top with marshmellows and bake 10 more minutes. You may omit the marshmellows if you like.
Serving Suggestions
This is a perfect dish for a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner.
