Heat oil in a 10 in. skillet over med.high heat. Add onions and cook until they begin to brown, stirring occasionaly. Reduce heat to med. Cook until onions are tender and caramelized, stirring occasionaly. Remove skillet from heat.
Heat broth, black pepper, carrots and celery in 4 qt. saucepan over med. high heat to a boil. Stir pasta and chicken in saucepan. Reduce heat to med. Cook 10 mins. or until pasta is tender. Stir in onions an serve immediately.
