     Jackie's Potato Soup

Ingredients
2 medium or large potatoes, white
1/2 stick butter
1 small onion
3 tablespoons flour
3 cups milk
1 cup reserve potato water
ham steak (optional)
2 cups shredded chedder cheese
 

Instructions
Cover potatoes with water and boil until tender. Drain into bowl and save water. In potato pan put 1/2 stick of butter and melt.
Cut up onion and saute in butter until translucent. Add 3 tablespoons flour and cook for a few minutes. When done add 3 cups milk and shredded cheese.
Add potatoes and mix well. Cook for half hour until cheese is melted.
