2 tart red apples, sliced and peeled
|

3 TB margarine or butter
|
|
1 Med head Red Cabbage, coarsely shredded
|
|
1/4 C Water
|
|
1/4 C Red Wine Vinegar
|
|
2 TB Sugar (can use brown)
|
|
1 tsp Salt
|
|
1/3 tsp pepper
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Cook and stir apples in butter or margarine in Dutch oven
over medium heat for 5 minutes.
|

|
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Heat to boiling. Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 35-40 minutes (at least) or until
cabbage is tender.
