Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine peanut butter, crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg. Beat until just blended.

Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in seperate bowl. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix until blended.

|
Drop by heaping spoonful 2 in apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Flattten slightly in crisscross pattern with fork.

|
Bake on baking sheet at a time for 7-8 minutes or until set and just begining to brown. Cool 2 min and serve.
