preheat oven to 350
med bowl- combine flour, sugar, salt.
add butter- stir until combined.
press into bottom and up sides of 9 inch pie plate.
bake for 10-12 min, until lightly browned.
pour pie filling into crust.
med bowl- beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
carefully spread around outside edges of pie, leaving a 3 inch circle of cherries in center exposed.
bake for 30-35 minutes or until edges brown.
cool on wire rack.
refrigerate several hours b4 serving.
