Before bed, put chuck roast in crock pot and pour the liquid smoke & water over it and sprinkle the onion soup over it. Then cook on low all night and all the next day. It will be fabulous by dinner.
If you want potatoes with your roast, just peel them and cut them in chunks and put them in on top of your roast in the morning and they'll be ready by dinner too.
If you want carotts, put them in with the potatoes (washed and peeled of course)
