     BRISKET AND POTATOES

Ingredients
5 or 6 lbs flat cut brisket
1 packet liptons onion soup mix
1 packet liptons vegetable soup mix
1/2 cup ketchup
3 medium onions sliced
3 carrots cut up
3 cups water
6 medium potatoes peeled and quartered
salt and pepper to taste
 

Instructions
put cut onions on bottom of large pot,then place brisket on top of onions,add remaining ingredients,except potatoes,add them after 1 hour of cooking
cook on low to medium heat for about 2 to2 1/2 hours when fork goes in easy it done let sit till cool before slicing
