     Pasta with Caramelized Onions and Whit Wine

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil, divided
2 Teaspoons Garlic, Minced, divided
1/2 Teaspoon Salt, divided
2 Cups Thinly Sliced Yellow Onions
1/2 Cup Dry White Wine
1/4 Cup Low Sodium Chichen Broth
8 Ounces Whole Wheat Uncooked Pasta, (Bowtie or Fusilli)
1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
 

Instructions
Bring 2 quarts water to a boil and add pasta, cook and drain. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl combine the breadcrumbs, 1 Tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon garlic and a dash of salt. Spread misture on a baking sheet and bake in oven until golden brown, about 6 minutes.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add remaining oil to pan. Add onions and cook until golden brown about 20 minutes. Add remaining garlic and wine. Cook 3 minutes. Add broth and cook until liquid is reduced to 1/2 cup, about 5 minutes.
Add pasta to onion mixture. Sit well. Add remaining salt and pepper to pasta and toss to coat.
Place 1 Cup pasta mixture into 4 shallow bowls, sprinkle with bread crumbs.
