Blend shortening and sugars in large bowl. Beat in vanilla and eggs, sift ingredients together add to sugar egg mixture blending well. Still in 1/2 M&M's remaining for decor.
Drop from teaspoon onto an ungreaed cookie sheet. Put candy on top. 375 degrees, 10 minutes.
