½ tsp. paprika, ½ tsp. dry mustard, ¾ T. ground cumin
2 bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Add oil to large pot. Heat to medium high and add onions, peppers, celery, chorizo, and ham (or sausage). Cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Add the spices and stir for 2-3 minutes and lt the flavors infuse. Add garlic, beans, broth, paste and Tabasco. Bring to slow boil and reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes. Add carrots and cabbage; cook for 10 minutes. Add potatoes and cook another 12 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
