Soak ragi semiya in the water, with salt added to it. Completely drain off the water. Steam cook the soaked ragi semiya on an idly pan for 5 minutes. Now ragi semiya is ready to use.
Upma-
Take adequate quantity of oil in a frying pan. Add small quantity of mustard, udid dal, onion, chillies etc., and fry. Then add little salt to it. Then add the cooked ragi semiya to it and mix thoroughly. Now ragi semiya is ready to serve.
Sweet-
Add sugar, coconut scrapping, elaichi etc. to the cooked ragi semiya, and serve.
Note-
You need equal quantity of ragi semiya and water - when put in the steamer. E.g. 1/2 cup semiya to 1/2 cup water.
