Cook pie filling ingredients over medium-low heat until tender then cool. Pour into pie shell. Crimp top crust on top. Cover crusts will foil. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
When I have access to lots of apples, I make this and freeze it so that it's ready to make a pie.
