Add 1 lb of broken bread ( whole wheat, white, heels or crust preferred) Top liberally with brown sugar and bake at 350 in 9 x 13 pan for 45 minutes.
Custard vanilla sauce- Cream sugar, eggs, salt, and margarine- add cornstarch mixture., add boiling water slowly. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly on low heat. Add vanilla. ( you may want to double its great )
