Do not preheat the oven. Grease and flour a 12 cup tube pan.
(I used a Bundt pan)

Sift together the flour and salt and set aside.
Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar on low for 10 minutes or until
light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time with dry ingredients, mixing well after
each addition.
Add vanilla.
|

|
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Set the oven temperature to
325º and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick or cake tester
inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool the cake in
the pan.
