Peel potatoes boil and dice.
In a 10 inch skillet cook bacon until crisp, drain on paper towel.
In 2 tablespoons bacon fat - saute onions.
Stir in sugar, salt, flour and pepper.
Gradually stir in vinegar and 1/2 cup of water.
Cook stirring until thickened and boiling. Gently stir in potatoes and bacon - heat.
