Sautee onions in oil until translucent.
|
|
|
Add tomatoes, chicken stock and basil.
|
|
|
Cook 30-35 minutes.
|
|
|
Add stale bread and cook another 20 minutes, until bread is soft.
Puree.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with sourdough grilled cheese sticks using american and cheddar cheeses.
