1. Soak chick peas for at least 6 hours and then boil for 30 minutes till soft.
2. Cut the potatoes and tomatoes in big pieces.

3. Heat ghee and fry potatoes.
4. Remove and in same ghee add onions and slightly brown them.
|
|
|
5. Add tomatoes and allow it to soften.
Add the chana masala and mix. Then add the boiled chick peas and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
6. Add tamarind water and plain water as needed and allow to boil.

|
7. Add potatoes. Garnish if needed and serve hot.
