Mix fish, eggs, onion. Use hands for a good mixture. All good cooks use their hands. Don't they ? - editor . Take several crackers in hand & moisten under tap. Repeat as necessary to get an even mixture. Add oil as needed. Form into patties & fry in hot grease. Bacon grease adds flavor. Turn once & drain onto paper towels. This is a revised version, but I still call it Salmon Patties. This is a favorite of most of the family. Dewey wants me to make it & we eat the leftovers cold as sandwiches with Miracle Whip -editor.
