1. Trim fat from steak. Stir together oregano, garlic, lemon peel, oil, and pepper in a small bowl. Using your fingers, rub mixture into both sides of steak.
2. Broil on unheated rack of a broiler pan 3 to 4 inches from heat, for 15 to 18 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest portion reads 160 degree F (for medium), turning once halfway through broiling. Cover and let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
3. To serve, thinly slice steak diagonally across the grain. If desired, garnish with lemon slices, cucumber slices, and curly spinach leaves. Sprinkle with additional snipped fresh oregano, if desired. Makes 2 servings.
