Combine bread and milk and let stand for 5 minutes. Cook onion in butter for 10 minutes. Add the onion to the bread, along with the ground meat, egg, 1/2 Tbsp basil, parsley, 3/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Combine and make into balls.
Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a saute pan, cook meatballs and remove. Add in mushrooms, garlic and wine. Bring to a boil for a minute, stir in cream, salt and pepper. Add meatballs back in and reduce to a simmer for 10 minute.
Cook pasta. When done, toss with butter and basil. Add sauce and meatballs.
