Wash, dry, season and roll meat in 2 fistsful of flour. Put butter and meat into a frying pan and sear the meat on both sides. Put prepared vegetables in boiling water. Add meat and simmer for about 2 hours. Thicken the stew with the remainder of the flour, mixed in a little cold water.
You could also cook this in a bean hole. It would take about 4 hours after boiling.
