Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9 inch round baking pans or one 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. In large mixer bowl; blend sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of electric mixer 2 minutes. (Batter will be thin.) Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost as desired.

Vanilla Glaze- In medium microwave safe bowl, place 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine. Microwave at high for 30 seconds or until melted. Gradually stir in 2 cups powdered sugar, 2 to 3 Tablespoon hot water and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beat with wire whisk until smooth and slightly thickened.
