Don't know what to do with Masoor dal? Here is a simple and tasty recipie for it

Wash and soak the rice for 20 mins
Wash the masoor dal and soak it for 15 mins
Cook the masoor dal with some water in pressure cooker for one whistle. Ensure it does not become mushy
|

|
Heat some oil in a pan and add the onions.
As it turns trancelucent add the garlic and ginger and saute it for 2 mins
Once the cooker cools down open the lid and add the Onions taht were sauted and add rice and salt to it and pressure cook it again for 2 whistles.
