Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine beef, pork, veal, chicken broth, mustard and bread crumbs in a bowl. Saute garlic and onion in butter until tender but not browned and add to meat with salt, egg, pepper, thyme and basil. Spread half the mixture in a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Combine ham, cloves and chili sauce; spread a thin layer over meat in loaf pan. Arrange 4 hard cooked eggs over ham, top or pack around remaining ham. Use remaining beef mixture to fill pan. Set in a shallow pan to catch any drippings and bake 1 hour 15 minutes. Allow to stand 5 minutes before turning out onto a warm platter. Decorate with remaining egg, sliced.
