Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut butter into flour with pastry blender and process until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in buttermilk and mix until dry ingredients are moist. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times. Roll dough to 3/4 inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter. place on lightly sprayed baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Brush with additional melted butter, if desired.
