Dissolve yeast in water in a large bowl. Stir in oil, agave nectar, vinegar, and salt. Add whole wheat flour, one cup at a time, stirring until well incorporated.
Add one cup of all-purpose flour, stirrng until stiff to do so, finish incorporating flour by kneading in.
Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, adding more flour if necessary (about 5 min). Immediately divide into 12 pieces and shape into balls.
Place 3 in. apart on baking sheets. Cover and let rise for 30 min. While rising, preheat oven to 425.
Bake for 8-12 min or until golden brown.
