     Homemade Pita Bread (Bread Machine)

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   Vegetarian
Preptime   10 minutes

Ingredients
1 Cup Water
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
3 C flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. yeast

Instructions
Add all ingredients in order prescribed by your bread machine. Make sure you put sugar and salt in separate corners and make a well in the middle for the yeast. Turn to dough setting and start.
When dough is finished, remove from bread maker, divide dough into six or ten equal size pieces (small or large pita). Shape each piece into a ball.
Cover the balls of dough with oiled plastic wrap and let them rest for about 10 minutes. Preheat the ove to 450 and place 3 baking sheets in the oven to preheat. Flatte each piece of dough slightly, and then roll out into an oval or round about 1/4 inch thick. Lightly sprinkle each pita with flour. Cover with oiled plastic wrap and let rest for 10 minutes.
Place the pitas on the baking sheets and bake for 5-6 minutes, or until they are puffed up and lightly browned. Transfer the pita breads on to wire racks to cool.
