Pure anise extract, 1/2 bottle of 1 ounce bottle (.5 ounces)
Anise Seeds, tbsps
DRY-
1/2 tsp of salt
tsp baking powder for every egg, so 6 tsp of baking powder
start with 4 cups of flour - will add as you need to make the consistency what it needs to be
consistency should be like sugar cookie
Instructions
cream butter and sugar
add eggs
add anise extract and anise seeds
mix 4 cups of flour with the salt and baking powder
consistency should be like sugar cookie and you need to be able to handle it - so not soft and gooey
preheat oven to 350
once mixed and dry to the touch, put on board or counter with flour underneath
make long, rolls, put on pan, take three fingers and pat down.
bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown
when removed and cool to touch, then cut on diagonal. turn on side and re-bake for about 15 minutes. Your toasting them. Keep an eye on them, you want them to be toasted. check bottoms
