1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. 2. Place vanilla wafers in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; crush with a rolling pin to fine crumbs. 2. Stir together vanilla wafer crumbs & butter; press into bottom of a 13x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with morsels & pecans (or peanuts). Drizzle with caramel topping. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Chill 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
