Combine eggs, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat until batter is similar to pancake batter. Add flour if needed.
Place aebleskiver pan over medium heat; add equal amounts of Crisco and butter to mokds until each is about 1/3 full. When shortening sizzles, add enough batter to almost reach mold tops. Cood for 3 minutes or until a brown shell has formed around bottom of mold, flip aebleskivers. Cook for 3 minutes more or until well browned on other side. Remove from pan. Serve warm, sprinkled with sugar or honey or applesauce.
