10 pork sausages, browned, drained and cut into small pieces
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms sliced
1 large onion finely chopped
2 tbsp flour
1 cup whippng cream
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp sage
1/4 tsp marjoram
1/4 tsp thyme
1/2 cup blanched almonds slivered
Instructions
Wash wild rice and combine with broth and water in a large, covered pot. Bring to a boil and
reduce heat to a slow boil for 1 hour or until rice begins to open and is soft.
Now , saute onion and mushrooms in skillet after sausage is cooked. Add sausage and onion
mixture to tice. In same skillet on medium heat combine flour and cream, stirring constantly
to make creamy sauce, adding more cream or water if necessary.
Bring mixture to a boil for 3 minutes. Add seasonings. Pour mixture, sauce and almonds into
large casserole. Mix will and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Serves 10 to 12
