Preheat oven to 350F.
Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners.
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking
powder, baking soda, ground spices, and salt.
In a bowl with an electric mixer, beat together
the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add
the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each
addition. Beat in the vanilla and scrape down the
edges of the bowl. With the mixer on low speed add
the flour mixture and pumpkin puree, alternating
between the two.
Fill the muffin tins up 3/4 the way. Bake for 18-20
minutes. Let cool and top with cream cheese
frosting.
