Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and molassas and beat until light. Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt in a separate bowl and mix together. Add to creamed mixture.
Bake 12 to 14 minutes. Don't over-bake or they get hard. But then they are better to dunk in a glass of milk.
