Fry onion in oil, add beef and cool until dry.
Cut 1 thick-ish sliced bread; soak in ½ c. milk. Set aside.
Mix- curry powder, sugar, salt, black pepper, turmeric, vinegar,
raisins and chutney. Add to beef mixture.
Squeeze all of the milk out of the bread (set this milk aside) and
break into small pieces. Add to beef mixture.
Stick bay leaves into dish.
Bake 350°F for 50-60 min.
During the last 25 minutes of cooking, pour 2 eggs mixed with
balance of milk plus ½ c. over beef.
