1. In large saucepan, cook fettuccine to desired doneness. Drain; return to pan. Cover to keep warm.
2. Meanwhile,in medium skillet cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet, drain on paper towel. Reserve 1 tbs. drippings in skillet; discard remaining. Add onion; cook until crisp-tender.
3. Crumble bacon. Add bacon, tomato, and basil to onion. Cook just until heated. Add to cooked fettuccine; toss gently to mix.
