Combine the sugar, vinegar, salad oil, onion and
dry mustard in a food processor. Process until
blended. I usually process until the onion is
completely liquid. Add the poppyseeds and mix
gently.
Toss the romaine, strawberries, pecans, and bacon
in a bowl just before serving. Add the Poppyseed
Dressing, tossing to coat. Spoon into a large
salad bowl.
