Mix bread crumbs, ground chuck, egg, garlic, salt and pepper
by hand.
Make into 5-6 patties.
Over medium heat combine oil and butter and brown patties
on both side just until brown. Remove from heat.
Remove all but one tablespoon of grease from Salisbury
steaks, add butter, onion and mushrooms.
Cook until onions start to soften.
Slowly add in flour until it starts to bubble.
Add in beef broth stirring constantly, stir in 1 cup water.
Add steaks back to gravy, cover and allow to simmer for 30-40
minutes.
