In 10 skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until browned. remove bacon, reserve 3 tbsp. drippings. add onions and garlic to drippings and cook 5 minutes. Add brown sugar (to taste), vinegar, molasses, salt, and dry mustard. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Put sugar mixture, beans, and bacon in 4 qt. baking dish and mix gently until combined. Bake uncovered in 350 oven for 1 hour. Stir once and serve.
