200g pure ground almonds
200g caster sugar
200g plain flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
1 teaspoon Ilma Zghar
orange peel
madolin peel
lemon peel
180ml fresh orange juice
To decorate
Golden syrup
Roasted nibbled almonds
Method
Mix all the dry ingredients together, add the
fruit peels and ilma zghar and start adding the
orange juice gradually until u have a dough which
is neither sticky nor hard.
Arrange pieces on baking paper not very close to
each other and shape them. With a knife cut
diagonally lines.
Warm oven
Temp 180 degrees around 16 minutes. The important
they still have to be soft when u take out of the
oven as they will harden when cold.
