12-14 yellow potatoes, pealed and cubed into 1 inch pieces
milk
butter
salt & fresh ground pepper
sour cream
cream cheese
maple syrup
Instructions
Boil potatoes in slightly salted water until soft. Drain and transfer
to a mixing bowl.
Turn mixer on low, mashing potatoes. While
potatoes are still hot, add half stick of butter
and about 1/4 cup of milk. Turn mixer on higher
speed and mash until smooth.
Lower speed and add
another half stick of butter, about 1/4 cup of
sour cream, 1/4 cup of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons
of salt, 1 tablespoon of fresh ground pepper and
about 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Mix well.
Taste. Potatoes should be creamy.
If too thick, mix in more milk until you get the consistency you
want. Add salt and pepper to taste.
