This was a family meal when growing up. It's actually very simple but never tastes quite as good as when Mom made it.
I'm sure she used the 30% fat Ground Beef which probably contributed to the flavor of both the hamburger patties and the gravy.
Instructions-
Peel the potatoes and boil in salted water.
Form hamburger patties and fry in cast iron skillet.
Heat canned kidney beans in sauce pan.
When burgers are done, set aside and make flour thickened gravy in cast iron skillet.
I would add some beef flavoring to gravy.
