Enough fresh bread crumbs to make 1 cup when softened with 1/2 cup hot
milk. Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks well beaten, add bread
crumbs when cool. Add fruit juice or wine and fruit, sift together
remaining dry ingredients and last fold in stiff egg whites. Fill
greased mold 3/4 full. Cover with foil and steam 3 hours in hot water
at 350 degrees for 3 hours sitting in a large roaster filled with
water. HARD SAUCE- Cook sugar, butter & water till it thickens, then
add 2 eggs well beaten. Add it slowly, stirring all the time for a few
minutes. After removing from the heat, while hot, add 2 wine glasses
of sherry. The size of wine glasses is up to you.
